She claimed that government lacks concern about the plight of the suffering masses.

The Ablekuma West MP said resentfully that “for the whole year common fund has not been paid, NHIS has not been paid, GETFUND has not been paid but the monies have been collected by Government, so the question we are asking is where are our monies”?

Mrs. Owusu Ekuful was speaking to Adomonline.com during the demonstration staged by the pro-NPP group, Alliance For Accountable Government (AFAG) on Wednesday.

She said the demonstration was a wakeup call on government to step up his performance because “they are running out of patience and it is time the government work in the interest of Ghanaians as they promised Ghanaians”.

Hon. Ursula Ekuful said the Mahama-led government is only interested in collecting loans and yet Ghanaians don’t know what the monies are for.

She indicted that prices on every contract has been inflated citing the new fly-over being constructed at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle to corroborate her claim.

The Ablekuma West MP added that despite the countless advice given to the government, it has turned a deaf ear thus the only option is to hit the street.

The AFAG demonstration started from the Obra Spot at Circle and ended at formal Accra Arts of Oak training grounds at the Art Centre.
