The New Patriotic Party (NPP) had served notice it will challenge the Parliamentary election results alongside the Presidential election results.

Four NPP Parliamentary candidates including former Attorney General, Ayikoi Otoo have already filed petitions at the High Court to challenge the results in their respective Constituencies.

Speaking to Citi News, a member of the NDC Legal team, Victor Adawudu stated that the party is exploring all the factors involved in the petitions to enable it respond appropriately.

“All these things that are going on, the party leadership will take a decision on it and the legal committee will also take a decision and see what are the parliamentary challenges are. So they will take a decision on it.”

According to him, he together with the party’s legal team will consider all the factors and respond saying, “it’s a mix of factors so we will put all together and respond appropriately.”

He insisted that “it is one point that it is one register that has been used so in one vain, if you say that it was credible that has produced Parliamentary candidates for you than in another vain you say the Presidential candidate, it did not, it just goes to confirm that yes, they should come and we would look at their petition.”
