Ato Ahwoi Collapses At NDC Congress Grounds But,…

A leading member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Ato Ahwoi collapsed at the Sunyani Coronation park, venue for this weekend’s National Delegates Conference on Friday July 8,2011.

An eye-witness who spoke to XFM reported that Mr. Ahwoi collapsed on the field in the midst of final preparations for Saturday’s much anticipated face-off between incumbent President Mills and former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

XFM cannot say clearly if his sudden collapse is as a result of nervousness with regards to a possible defeat on his close ally, the president or on health reasons but he was helped immediately to a seat by people standing next to him including Mr. Totobi Kwakye, also a prominent member of the NDC who was seen talking to him afterwards.

In a related development, peacefmonline.com can authoritatively confirm that Mr. Ato Ahwoi is hale and hearty.

Speaking to PeaceFM and OkayFM a couple of minutes ago, the indefatigable Ahwoi who looked refreshed but could only manage a few words as he extremely busy with putting things right at the congress grounds, prayed for a united NDC after congress.
