Kumasi Market Gutted Again

The Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi would once again be alive and agog with political frenzy as the Garden City prepares for what some NPP supporters say promises to be the biggest rally ever to hit a political party campaign platform.

It is a day set to launch the campaign of the candidature of the New Parliamentary Candidate for the Asokwa Constituency, Ms. Patricia Appiagyei a former Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolis who hopes to represent the people of the area if elected on December 7th 2012.

“Ma Pat” as she is affectionately called by her constituents, would use the occasion to outline her major policy direction and interventions for the Asokwa constituency.

Among other personalities who have also accepted to speak on that platform are Dr Mahmoud Bawumia, presidential running mate for Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, some NPP members of parliament including Matthew Opoku Prempah (Manhyia), Isaac Asiamah (Atwima Mponua), Isaac Osei (Subin), Simon Osei Mensah (Bosomtwe) and aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for Dome Kwabenya in Accra, Lawyer Sarah Adwoa Safo.

The Program which is christened the “Peoples Forum”, is an ingenious creation by ASHH FM, a Kumasi based radio station which has taken upon itself to provide the platform for Ghanaians to pour their hearts out on issues that are of major concern to them ahead of the elections.
