Government pharmacists suspend strike action

The pharmacists who have been on strike for six days say they are resuming work because of crisis that usually characterise the Easter festivities and increasing cases of Cholera outbreak.

The Health Ministry has been meeting with pharmacists over their concerns on market premium and job re-evaluation scores are addressed.

President of the Government and Hospital Pharmacists Association, Steven Corquaye, told Joy News: “Most of our patients would be having some emergencies during the Easter season, and then the current cholera outbreak; as pharmacists we want to show good faith to our patients and therefore we have suspended the strike.”
