The chief of Akim Akrosu in the Eastern Region Nana Kwabena Ofori has stated that President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) deserve one more term to complete what he believed was the developmental projects implemented across the country.

Nana Ofori said the NDC had done enough to warrant a second term after they successfully completed the electrification project in the area.

According to him, the NPP neglected them even though they had NPP ministers from the area.

Speaking in his palace to welcome the President who is on a campaign tour of the region, Nana Kwabena Ofori debunked assertions that the NPP brought electricity to the area demanding that he should be shown any proof of such claims. He said he was ready to challenge the NPP of any claim to any development in the area.

He also questioned why the NPP had fixed candidates in the newly created constituencies after they opposed the law backing their formation.

He declared that Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan had already affirmed President Mahama as the winner of the upcoming general elections and thus urged his people to vote massively for President Mahama.

President Mahama on his part expressed his delight at the acknowledgements of the chief and promised to do more to change the fortunes of the people if the party wins the December elections.
